This study investigates the mechanical properties of fibres and evaluates the compressive strength of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Concrete (HFRC) developed using Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC). The research focuses on the synergistic effect of combining glass and polypropylene fibres, aiming to enhance strength, durability, and crack resistance. A detailed review of composite materials, fibre properties, and hybridization concepts establishes the basis for experimental work. Standard tests, including slump flow, L-box, and compressive strength, were conducted on concrete specimens prepared with varying fibre dosages and curing periods. The results revealed that the incorporation of hybrid fibres improved workability, passing ability, and compressive strength, with optimum performance observed at 1.5% fibre addition. Glass fibres enhanced early strength and crack resistance, while polypropylene fibres contributed to toughness and reduced shrinkage cracks. The findings confirm that hybrid fibre reinforcement can significantly improve concrete performance, making it suitable for structural applications where strength, durability, and workability are critical. The study concludes by recommending further optimization of fibre content and curing methods to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
