Check the source
Search and metadata services have different purposes, coverage and update schedules. A service link is a discovery route, not a claim that every JSRT article is indexed or that a journal is accredited.
Article-level discovery
Use an article DOI, exact title and author names to confirm the matching record. Citation counts on article pages are shown only for verified DOI matches and are labelled separately by source.
Responsible interpretation
Crossref supplies registered metadata; Google Scholar and OpenAlex offer research discovery. ISSN identifies a serial. These functions are different and should not be presented as interchangeable quality rankings.
